About SES Electrical Contractors

SES Electrical Contractors is based in Chiswick and works across London. Our focus is fire alarms — design, installation and commissioning, servicing and maintenance, wireless systems, fault finding and repairs, upgrades, maintenance takeovers and monitoring — with emergency lighting as our main supporting service. We work for businesses, landlords, managing agents, HMOs, schools, churches and community buildings.

We are also an NICEIC-approved electrical contractor. That approval covers our electrical work: it is regularly assessed against the current wiring regulations, and it means we can issue the correct electrical certification. It also means we understand the supplies, wiring and interfaces that fire alarm systems depend on.

We provide ongoing fire alarm servicing alongside installations, repairs and maintenance takeovers, and we aim to build long-term relationships with the people responsible for buildings — keeping fire alarms serviced, logbooks and records in order and faults dealt with, year after year, so there are no nasty surprises.

The person behind SES

SES is led by Byron Sanders, an experienced electrical and fire-alarm contractor with more than two decades working in London buildings. Byron remains directly involved in surveys, system design, technical fault-finding and client support, giving customers a consistent point of contact from the initial visit through to ongoing maintenance.

Experience and credentials

Since 2010, we've worked on everything from managed office blocks and HMOs to much-loved parish churches. Our fire alarm systems are designed, installed and tested to the British Standard for fire detection and alarm systems, BS 5839 — Part 1 for commercial and non-domestic premises, and Part 6 for domestic and HMO systems — and our electrical work is carried out to the current wiring regulations, BS 7671. Fire alarm installation, servicing and inspection sit at the centre of what we do, backed by genuine experience in churches, community centres and managed properties where the work has to be done carefully and documented properly.

Electrical work

Alongside fire alarms, we still carry out electrical work — mainly for existing clients and the buildings we already look after, and for long-standing domestic customers — to the same standards as our fire alarm work.
