Repairs and replacements — not big projects

Most homes don't need a project. They need the thing that's stopped working put right, or a part that's had its day swapped for a new one. That's the work we do best: the tripping circuit, the light that flickers, the fuse board that's older than the house next door, the extractor fan that hums but does nothing.

We'll be straight with you about scope. SES focuses on repairs, replacements and safety — not full rewires, extensions or brand-new installations. If your job is really a rewire, or a bigger build than a repair, we'll tell you plainly rather than take it on half-heartedly. Where we can, we'll point you towards someone better suited, so you're not left chasing your tail.

A quick word on appliances: we mainly repair washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers. If it's the electrical supply or the machine itself playing up, tell us what it's doing and we'll say whether it's worth mending or better replaced — no point spending good money after bad.

Every job is done to current standards, and where the work needs certifying — a new consumer unit, for instance — you'll get the paperwork to prove it. Clean up after ourselves goes without saying.
