Fire extinguishers are simple kit, but only if the right ones are in the right places and everyone can trust them to work. We supply, position and service extinguishers for commercial premises, community buildings and places of worship across London. Whether you're fitting out a new space or you've realised the units on the wall are past their date, we'll get it sorted and keep it that way.
Choosing the right type, simply
Different fires need different extinguishers, and using the wrong one can make things worse. In plain terms:
- Water — for ordinary combustibles like paper, wood and fabric. Never on electrics.
- Foam — good on those same materials and on burning liquids; a versatile choice for many rooms.
- CO2 — for electrical equipment, so it's the one you want near computers, boards and kitchen appliances.
- Dry powder — very broad cover, but messy indoors, so it's usually better suited to plant rooms and outdoor risks.
We'll walk the building with you, match the extinguishers to what's actually there — the kitchen, the electrics, the store room — and make sure you've the right cover without cluttering the place with kit you don't need.
Mounted and signed so they're found fast
An extinguisher hidden behind a door is no use in a hurry. We mount them securely at the correct height, in the obvious places along escape routes and near the risks they cover, and put up clear ID signs so anyone can spot them and know which is which. It's a small thing that makes a real difference when seconds count.
Servicing that keeps them in date
Extinguishers need an annual service to stay reliable and compliant. We check pressure and condition, replace anything out of date or discharged, and leave you with a simple record of what's fitted and when the next service is due. Stay on the schedule and you'll always have working extinguishers and the paperwork to prove it.
